BriefDesign a Library in a site of choice.
Individual Work
DescriptionAdopting the Discrete Typology of Karantina, and implementing it into the project, I decided to study the tension between discreteness and curiosity. Since children already inhabited the site, they would be the targeted user of the library, and the center focus literally and metaphorically. A central courtyard emerges that is dedicated to the children, and the architecture forms around this courtyard like a geode. The outer facades become discrete and monotonous, while the entrance invites us into the playful spaces hidden inside.
