| Description | What started as curious research around settlement in extreme conditions evolved into a design and rendering project! I was inspired by the vernacular Bedouin tents from Wadi Rum. The aim was to create a permanent settlement. The disc deck under the tent could be physically rotated which lifts up or lowers main rods of the tent. These rods hold the black wool fabric covering the tent allowing for ventilation spaces in summer or heating in winter as heights change. The concept is not fully developed but definitely fun to do and learn about. |
